Control Center Missing After iOS 26?

iPhone Control Center missing after iOS 26 is almost never “Apple deleted it.” Liquid Glass split controls across pages, Focus hides a page, and the edit long-hold stalls the same way Home Screen icons refuse to drag.

1. The gesture did not move to the left

On Face ID iPhones, Control Center is still down from the top-right (where the signal pills are). Notification Center is the left/center of the status bar. Mixing those two after a 26.x visual refresh is the #1 “it’s gone” ticket.

Touch ID iPhones: swipe up from the bottom, slightly toward the right if iOS 26 made the home indicator picky.

Guided Access (triple-click) eats the swipe. Accessibility → Guided Access → End. Screenshot combo mashed with CC swipe can also no-op for a second.

Charge the phone — USB-C PD hub — a 4% battery plus 26.6 indexing makes the panel feel like it never opens.

2. Edit Controls (Liquid Glass pages)

Open Control Center → tap Edit / Add a Control / hold empty space (label varies by 26.x).

Add Flashlight, Dark Mode, Focus, QR, Shortcuts. iOS 26 lets you have multiple CC pages — swipe sideways. “Missing” Wi‑Fi is often on page two.

If the pencil/edit never appears, treat it like Home Screen jiggle: keep holding 15+ seconds, or hold with one finger and drag with the other.

Reduce Transparency and Reduce Motion if CC is a smeared glass blob after 26.6 (iOS 26.6).

3. Focus filters hide tiles

Settings → Focus → [Work/Sleep] → Filters / Control Center (wording varies). A Work Focus can strip the flashlight and camera tiles you expect at 11 p.m.

Test with Focus Off. If CC returns to normal, edit the filter — do not Reset All Settings.

Shortcuts tiles that do nothing: Shortcuts automations after 26.6 — the tile is fine, the shortcut is dead.

4. Flashlight, Camera, Wallet

Grey Flashlight in CC + grey torch in Control Center + Camera flashlight dead = flashlight / camera path, not a missing control. Add the tile anyway after the camera daemon/hardware pass.

Lock Screen flashlight/camera buttons are a different article: Lock Screen after iOS 26.

Wallet / Tap to Pay tile missing: Settings → Wallet, then add the control. Not a Liquid Glass bug.

5. Last software steps

Restart. Offload nothing — Control Center is system. Reset Home Screen Layout only if icons also will not move; it will not magically restore a factory CC list.

Do not restore the iPhone because page two hid Wi‑Fi.

Bottom line

Top-right swipe → Edit Controls → check page two → Focus off. iOS 26 Control Center is still there. Liquid Glass hid it behind pages and a sticky edit mode — the same long-hold stall as the Home Screen.
