- Known-good USB‑C cable — desk proof on a USB-C hub path on Amazon is fine
- PS5 on, rear USB first
- Rest Mode → enable USB power supply options
- Pinhole reset on DualSense
- Battery service if runtime is minutes after a full charge indication
