1. Clipboard rides Handoff
If you cannot Handoff Safari to the Mac Dock, Universal Clipboard will fail too. Do that checklist first: same Apple ID, Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, Handoff On — Handoff after iOS 26.
Mac Bluetooth missing: Tahoe Bluetooth.
Keep both awake. Low Power on the iPhone parks Continuity. Charge the Mac on a USB-C PD hub. Wait out 26.6 indexing if the phone is still hot and slow.
2. Control test: one word, not a screenshot

3. Privacy banners are not a broken clipboard
iOS 26 still nags Allow Paste. Password managers need Allow. Games reading the clipboard need Deny. Allowing/denying does not fix Universal Clipboard to the Mac — that is Continuity.
Third-party keyboards with “clipboard history” are local. They do not replace Universal Clipboard. Don’t install a random clipboard app from a search ad.

- Android ↔ iPhone (not Continuity)
- Devices on different Apple IDs

5. Toggle and reboot
Handoff Off/On both sides. Reboot iPhone then Mac. Do not sign out of iCloud to “reset clipboard.”
