1. Same Apple ID, both radios
Settings → [Name] on iPhone and System Settings → Apple ID on Mac must match. A work iCloud on the Mac and a personal iPhone will never Handoff.
Bluetooth On, Wi‑Fi On. VPN off. Devices within a few meters. Low Power Mode off on the iPhone — keep the Mac on a USB-C PD hub so you are not testing on 6%.
If the iPhone is still indexing after 26.6, wait — iOS 26.6. Continuity jobs lose to Spotlight.
